Dr James Davies was the Member of Parliament for the Vale of Clwyd and is now Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Clwyd East. He has worked as a doctor within the NHS for 15 years.
James was born in St Asaph and brought up in Prestatyn, and has family going back many generations in Rhyl and Denbigh. He represented Prestatyn as a local councillor for 11 years, before being elected Member of Parliament for this constituency between 2015 and 2017. Following the 2017 election which James unfortunately lost he spent a year practising in Rhyl and many months in other practices and Out of Hours services in the region. This provided an invaluable insight into the full extent of failure within the Labour-run devolved Welsh NHS. He also spent valuable time with his young family and continued much of the local community work he finds so rewarding.
Dr James regained his seat in the House of Commons during the 2019 General Election and is back on the benches working hard for the constituents of the Vale of Clwyd.
